Return of the Chiroptera...

It has been 50 long years since the last Chiroptera outbreak in which the Chiropteran known as Saya, confronted and defeated her sister Diva. Ever since, the world has remained free of the Chiroptera... or at least it seemed that way, but this was only on the surface. The United States, however, had decided to continue their studies on the Chiropteran species and isolated their experiments to an island base in the Pacific.
This went well for some time, however during an experiment, a number of Chiroptera got loose from the lab. On their way out, they killed a large number of the humans working at the base. Emergency evacuation procedures were taken and the Americans working at the base were able to escape. They knew a majority of Chiroptera wouldn't be able to follow suit, so the island was to be forgotten and the Americans would keep this failure a secret.
Unfortunately, a number of impoverished tribal natives of the island remained on the island, and due to their lack of technology, they are unable to escape. The natives of the village know nothing about chiropterans, however they certainly noticed that people who ventured out at night never seemed to return home. Due to village superstitions, villages never went out at night, but in recent times, they came to notice that those who go out at night never seem to return. In the forests surrounding the villages, half-eaten corpses have been found. This has all been attributed to their Demon God, Naira. Because of this, all humans have begun retreating to their basements before nightfall. Little do they know that the cause for this is Chiroptera.
Through their investigations and monitoring of the American government, Red Shield was able to discover this island, as well as the Chiropteran outbreak. Red Shield soon ventured to the island in order to fight the Chiropterans in hope of stopping them from spreading to the rest of the world.

Races: Be aware that there have been some changes from the canon! Humans:Humans are those who are not influenced by the blood of Chiroptera. They are a great deal weaker than Chiropteran and are much more fragile. Despite this fact, humans have created much impressive technology, especially the Red Shield. Ever since discovering the Chiroptera threat, the Red Shield has made many technological advancements with the purpose of combating Chiropterans should the need ever come again. Berserk Chiropteran:A Berserk Chiropteran is a human that has been fed a Royal Chiropteran's blood and did not advance enough to become a Chevalier. A Berserk Chiropteran will go through a full metamorphosis which will result in them going into a beast-like form. They will lose all sanity in exchange for their immense gains of power. Although Berserk Chiroptera are physically stronger than Chevalier, they lack the intelligence to focus their power and are considered inferior. In order to sustain themselves, Berserk Chiropteran must feed off of the blood of humans. Because of how quickly they heal, most chiropterans can't even be brought down by weapons alone. Bullets and sharp edges will do no good against them, either. The most it will do is slow them down. Even explosives prove to be non-lethal, unless the chiropteran is trapped in stone by the explosion. The chiropteran will not die, but it will go into a period of hibernation until it is freed. The only way to deal a lethal blow to a Chiropteran is by decapitating them or in some way dealing enough damage to their head. Enlightened Chiropteran:An Enlightened Chiropteran is the rarest form of Chiropteran aside from Royals. In essence, an Enlightened Chiropteran is a Berserk Chiropteran who has overcome his/her bestial instincts and regained his/her sanity. Usually, the awakening is triggered by the a lingering feeling of incredible devotion to protect someone or something the Chiropteran held dear in his/her human life. After having awakened, a Chiropteran is much more intelligent than a normal Chiropteran and regains the mentality of his/her human life. The Chiropteran also gains the ability to transform into his/her human form at will. Unfortunately, maintaining sanity in this form requires fresh human blood on a regular basis, which means they must feed on living humans, or at least humans who have died very recently. If these rations are not met, the Awakened Chiropteran will revert back to his/her berserk state until his/her appetite has been sated. Chevalier:Chevalier are the second-strongest form of Chiropteran, second only to the Royal Chiropteran themselves. In order to become a Chevalier, a person must feed on the blood of a Royal Chiropteran. On the 25% chance that they retain their sanity and complete the metamorphosis into a Chevalier, the Royal Chiropteran will become their master. Much like the Royal class themselves, Chevalier have heightened senses of speed, healing, and strength. Unfortunately, a Chevalier is killed if its system becomes tainted by the blood of a Royal Chiropteran other than that of their master. Chevalier do not eat food and do not need water. In order to sustain themselves, Chevalier must feed off of their master's blood. If they do not get their master's blood, they will begin to grow incredibly weak and gradually begin to die. Unlike Berserk Chiroptera, Chevalier can morph between a human form and a beast form. Royal Chiropteran:The Royal Class are the beginning of the chiropteran race, as well as the most powerful of all Chiroptera (also called Originals) responsible for creating Chevalier and Chiropterans. Royal Class Chiroptera have extremely advanced senses and reflexes, including speed, strength, endurance and regeneration. When the royal class chiroptera's blood are mixed together it almost instantly forms a brittle crystal. The blood of a royal is very dangerous as it has the ability to kill another Royal, as well as Chevalier, if the blood enters their system. This effect is very potent, taking effect almost immediately. Unfortunately, once a Royal's blood has been removed from his/her body, it quickly seems to lose potency. In other words, weapons using a royal's blood do not prove to be very useful against other Chiropterans as over the course of a few minutes, it becomes useless. In order to keep their strength, senses, and healing at a superhuman level, royals require a few liters of human blood every day. Artificial Chiropteran (Schiff):The Artificial Chiroptera, known as Schiff, are soldiers created by a group of scientists in the Red Shield to fight against the Chiroptera outbreak. From their infancy, they are trained only for fighting. They mostly know no other way of living or of getting what they want except by force. However, they are capable of emotion and learning compassion and empathy. Like Chevaliers, the Schiff have enhanced speed and strength and healing powers. Still, they are different in two key ways: sunlight will burn them to death by causing them to crystalize, and they do not need the blood of a Royal to survive. Their survival depends on injesting a special chemical called SC-7 which can only be produced by the Red Shield. Additionally, if a Schiff's system is tainted by the blood of a Royal, they will crystalize instantaneously. Finally, Artificial Chiroptera do not have a Chiroperan form, only a human one.
